The 2016 Welwyn Hatfield Times School Awards

Once again the successes of Times Territory schools were celebrated at an award evening. This was the fifth WHT School Awards and once again the presentation ceremony was hosted by Oaklands College, The Campus, WGC town centre. The awards celebrate all that is great in education in the Welwyn Hatfield and Potters Bar areas.

Diana Lava, events marketing and sales administrator for Archant Herts and Cambs said: “The judges were impressed with the level of nominations which has increased year on year, and we hope will continue to grow.
“It was a hugely successful evening that highlights the great work done in the area’s schools, the WHT continues to proudly publicise and commemorate the growth of education in the area.”

WHT editor Terry Mitchinson said: “Our congratulations to all the winners and runners-up. I continue to be amazed at standards within our schools and pleased that we can do our bit to highlight all that good work.”

As part of the evening celebrations, singer/songwriter Abbie Gathard, who is currently studying a HNC/HND music course at Oaklands College, gave a performance.

A huge thank you to all our sponsors whose support helps to make the event a great success.
